WARMER MIXTAPES #1376 | by Guy Middleton [Guido]

1. Mulatu AstatkeYèkèrmo Sèw (feat. Fekade Amde Maskal)
This was the first track on the CD I had in the car just after I learnt to drive. Very smooth and mildly sinister track – first heard it on the film Broken Flowers by Jim Jarmusch, so it has an air of detective to it.

2. Ludovico Einaudi | Le Onde
I heard someone play this on the piano and instantly wanted to learn it and how to play piano. Spent hours learning it – beautiful song.

3. Talib Kweli | Get By
I get goose bumps hearing this one. It lifts you up straight away – feel like I could move mountains when I listen to it! Best Nina Simone remix out there and excellent sing-along Rap vocals.

4. Franck Roger | Solo Man
The progression of this track is masterful. It gradually unravels itself bringing in each element to a fantastic climax with a synth solo. A track that makes me think about chilling with my friends.

5. Abyssinia Infinite | Ethiopia (feat. Ejigayehu "Gigi" Shibabaw)
Really peaceful Music. I feel transported to a tranquil, safe and restoring place whenever I listen.
6. E.S.T. | Goldwrap
Spiritually Elevating Music. I was lucky enough to see the trio play when they came to my hometown Bristol. It was a special night, one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.

7. Vangelis | Blade Runner Blues (Blade Runner Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Very deep track. When I listen to this I feel my perspective get wider and I contemplate about everything.

8. Nobuo Uematsu | The Prelude (Final Fantasy IV Original Soundtrack)
I could pick a lot of Music from the Final Fantasy series, this one though is used in all of them. It just sounds perfect to me. I would show it to aliens as a representation of Beauty.

9. Max Richter | Spring 1 (Vivaldi - The Four Seasons - Recomposed, Performed with Daniel Hope/Konzerthaus Kammerorchester Berlin/André De Ridder)
My dad took me to see this rendition of Vivaldi in Bristol. Really like what Richter has done and how he has added warm low harmonies to the high melodies. Strings sound incredible.

10. Fẹla And Afrika 70 | Sorrow Tears And Blood
I could pick any one of his tunes. His Music is infectious and energetic. I don’t really get bored of it.
